The exhibition's title "I do not want to lose her," refers to a specific point at which meeting the person creating the idealized, not necessarily existing image. As we learn more, we realize that it is really different. Our image begins to fade, losing its original shape and character. It depends on us whether the created "work" will survive or replace it with reality. Agnieszka Pestka's exhibition shows the process of creating images of people. "There is something beautiful and naive about it" - says the artist herself.

Agnieszka Pestka's art directs the complex world of human thoughts and feelings. He points to internal tensions and disputes. The artist talks about our beauty and mystery. He juxtaposes such traits as strength and sensitivity, as well as freedom and dependence. It addresses human desires, discussing difficult and important topics for women. In a way characteristic of her work - inspiring, sensitive and engaged, she analyzes various aspects of life, such as sexuality, social position, cultural role and the obligatory tradition.

The exhibition "I don't want to lose her" presents selected works by Pestka made in metal and sculpting techniques. Individual of them consist of several elements that are subject to changeable arrangement within the exhibition. Their delicacy and openwork allows for a moment to forget about the severity and uncompromising nature of the material used, in which the artist creates its final shape with unprecedented finesse.

The exhibition is divided into two parts.

The first one consists of bas-reliefs - etching matrices created with the use of zinc plates and acid, presented horizontally on three platforms.

The central platform contains a set of six works (including "I loft to look for you", " Lat me love things in you that don't exist"), the arrangement of which during the exhibition is modified depending on the intended exhibition. Each of the works tells its own, untold story, and when combined, they take on their full meaning: they talk about different perspectives of perceiving women, they deal with unity and cooperation, delicacy and strength, independence and energy. The platforms located on the sides present two sets of personal works remaining in an unchanged arrangement ("She comes to Me at night (and tax me in her ars)" and "Broken"). They refer to the situations the artist had to deal with - partial loss of vision and recovery from illness.

The second part of the exhibition consists of sculptures made of stainless steel suspended in space. The glow of the polished metal and its sharp edges show tensions and contrasts raging in man. The presented forms reflect the inner strength and character of the artist, reflecting her fascination with matter.

Agnieszka Pestka (born 1987) - an artist of the young generation who lives and works in New York. She shaped her sense of aesthetics and artistic sensitivity while staying in 14 countries around the world, incl. in Japan, Australia, Spain.

The desire to develop as an artist led her to the United States, where she had the opportunity to develop and improve her workshop at the leading College of Visual Arts in Manhattan. The artist's previous exhibitions took place, among others at the Studios of Key West in Key West, Florida, New York and Glo Creative Gallery in Miami during the Art Week "Art Basel Miami" - one of the most important events in the art world. He mainly practices metal techniques. Its sign is sculpture and etching. She is fascinated by the way in which metal expresses the deepest fears, hopes and desires. It uses techniques such as photography, screen printing or aquatint . It is guided by the idea of ​​universality and free access to art. Through her work, she wants to show the image of women in the world and have a real impact on the awareness of her recipients. Pestka is an activist socially involved in campaigns for women's rights, including the problem of human trafficking, animal rights activities and the dissemination of the idea of ​​veganism.
